One of the best ways to accomplish this goal is by having a YEARLY routine well exam. This visit allows the pediatrician to not only assess the teen’s physical health but screen for any emotional concerns or risky behaviors that could affect their health now or in the future. A comprehensive exam can be used for sports or camp clearance, but also provides a much broader and better picture of the child’s actual well-being.
