Beginning 1/1/2025, the North Carolina State Health Plan network will be administered by Aetna instead of BCBS. The open enrollment period is from 9/30/24 to 10/25/2024 for the 2025 benefit year.
Parents/patients will need to re-enroll with one of our current Raleigh Pediatric physicians as their PCP. You will have to choose a specific physician that you wish to see- not Raleigh Pediatrics as a group-But, your child may be seen by any Raleigh Pediatric physician.
Below are the directions that you will need to follow to complete this process:
- Go to http://shpnc.org/find-doctor
- Under “NC State Health Plan Network (Aetna 2025)”, choose whichever plan you will be signing up for (Enhanced PPO Plan, Base PPO Plan or the High Deductible Health Plan)
- It will redirect you to Aetna’s site where you can enter either Raleigh’s zip code (27615) or Garner’s zip code (27529) under the “Continue as a guest” section
- From there, you can just type in one of our Provider’s names, click on it, and it will show we are in Network.
**It is important to note that Raleigh Pediatrics will NO longer be participating with the Clear Pricing Project (CPP) now that we are under Aetna. This will not affect your ability to be seen by our Physicians**
