Dr. Gloria grew up in Sebastian, Florida. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Duke University and Duke’s School of Medicine. During this time, she worked as a manager for the Duke Women’s Basketball team, as well as worked local high school football games with Duke Sports Medicine. She completed her residency at Emory University School of Medicine working at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

She enjoys spending time with her husband, Jared, who is a UNC GI fellow (although they are still loyal and avid Duke basketball fans).  In her downtime, she enjoys hiking, fishing, and spending time on the water.

“I chose pediatrics so I could take care of the full breadth of childhood, treating newborns all the way to college athletes.  I enjoy preventative care in addition to counseling on pediatric sports injuries and how to keep children safe and healthy in all the sports they play. While at Emory, I led an initiative to help families stay informed on infant and child injury prevention and continue this passion in my everyday practice, advocating for the health and well-being of children.”
