Meet Dr. Firebaugh
Dr. Firebaugh was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology and Spanish at the University of North Carolina. She then received a grant to teach English in Madrid, Spain, where she lived for one year prior to returning to the United States for medical school. Dr. Firebaugh earned her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine and then completed her pediatric residency at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She then practiced general pediatrics for several years in Winston Salem prior to moving back home to Raleigh.
Dr. Firebaugh and her husband, Ben, have two sons, Wyatt and Mason, and three rescue dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, playing basketball, and cheering on her boys while they play soccer, hockey, and basketball. Since moving back to Raleigh, Dr. Firebaugh and her family have now become avid hockey fans and have loved going to games as a family. Go Canes!
Dr Firebaugh is also fluent in Spanish.
