Originally from Lancaster, PA, Dr. Johnson has lived in North Carolina since high school. He was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned his bachelor’s degree in music and then his medical degree. Dr. Johnson completed his residency in pediatrics at UNC Hospitals where he was voted “Outstanding Teaching Resident” by the medical students. He still enjoys teaching medical students at and is an adjunct faculty member of the UNC School of Medicine. Dr. Johnson and his wife, Joan, have two children, Christopher and Meghan. They enjoy music, reading, gardening and spending time together on Kerr Lake. Dr. Johnson joined Raleigh Pediatrics in 1997 and has an interest in children with special needs.
