Meet Dr. Atkins
Dr. Atkins grew up in Raleigh, NC. She graduated cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering before returning to North Carolina for medical school at the University of North Carolina. She completed her residency training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and was honored as an outstanding intern and senior resident awards and enjoyed the opportunity to serve an additional year as Chief Resident. She has been practicing pediatrics in Raleigh for several years before joining Raleigh Pediatrics.
Dr. Atkins and her husband, Matt, an anesthesiologist in Raleigh, have two school-aged sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking and cheering on the Tarheels and the Hurricanes!
