Raleigh Pediatrics’ Little Libraries Are Now Open!
There is something truly magical about a child finding the perfect book at just the right moment. This week, we are thrilled to announce a new way to share the magic of reading with the official opening of two new Little Free Libraries at Raleigh Pediatrics in Raleigh and Garner!
These aren’t just any little library; they are a labor of love built from the ground up by our very own Dr. Hewett.
From the Workshop…
The journey began months ago in Dr. Hewett’s workshop. Far from the exam rooms, the process started with raw wooden planks and lots of math!
Dr. Hewett spent time in his workshop measuring, sawing, and sanding, ensuring each library was sturdy enough to withstand the elements. From the initial frame to the final coat of vibrant, weather-resistant paint, every detail was handled with the same care he provides to his patients.
…To the Sidewalk
The libraries were finally transported to their new homes at our clinics, where they can be utilized by all. The philosophy is simple: Take a book, share a book.
Whether a patient is coming in for a check-up or a neighbor is walking by, these libraries belong to everyone.
The Big Reveal
To mark the occasion, we gathered our team for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. With a giant pair of scissors and a round of applause, we’ve officially opened the libraries!
The shelves are already stocked with adventures, mysteries, and picture books waiting to be discovered. We invite you to stop by, browse the selection, and perhaps leave a favorite story of your own for the next child to find.
Happy reading!
